NEC's VideoWorks
MCU5000A
Multipoint
Control Unit allows
geographically
dispersed locations
to enjoy
simultaneous,
fully interactive
advanced
videoconferencing.

NEC's powerful VideoWorks MCU5000A Multipoint Control Unit is designed to meet the network requirements of the 21st century. For companies that need closer management participation or tighter logistical control of geographically dispersed operating units, the MCU5000A system allows connections for up to 16 sites. By cascading three units, 44 sites can be served. Depending upon the number of MCU's cascaded together, even more sites can be served.

The MCU5000A Multipoint Control Unit is compatible with NEC's TC5000EX10 and TC5000EX7 Codecs and is fully compliant with ITU-T H.320 standards. An integrated audio bridge provides full duplex, naturally interactive audio, enabling all sites to be heard without the annoyance of echo or clipped voices. The MCU5000A system is a flexible, software driven unit which supports speeds ranging from 112 Kb/s to 1.920 Mb/s in increments of either 56Kb/s or 64Kb/s.

A cost-effective tool for today's increasingly budget-conscious corporations, the MCU5000A system frees up more time for decision-making and problem-solving, while eliminating costly travel.
